100+ Founders, Investors and Policy Leaders: Community Pitch Night at Jin Shangyuan

On December 2, we hosted 100+ international founders, investors and policy leaders at Jin Shangyuan for the Startup Alliance Community Pitch Night — guided by the Chaoyang District Bureau of Talent Work and co-hosted with our friends at FoundersLair.

An evening of real pitches

Founders from more than a dozen countries took the stage across AI, healthtech, sustainability and consumer sectors. What made the night different from a typical demo day:

  • Investors in the room, not on a screen — warm, pre-matched conversations instead of cold pitch roulette.
  • Policy leaders listening — district talent officials joined to hear what international founders actually need.
  • Honest feedback culture — every pitch got direct, actionable questions from mentors-in-residence.

Why we do this

Community isn't a nice-to-have for founders building far from home — it's infrastructure. The pitch night is part of the same rhythm as Startup Saturday, our weekly free meetup at the Park: founders meet investors, meet each other, and leave with next steps.

One founder told us afterwards: "I got more useful intros in one evening than in three months of cold emails."

What's next

More pitch nights are coming in 2026, alongside Venture Builders and ITEC season. Want a slot on stage or a seat in the room? Email join@startupalliance.online.
